Centralized Food Tech Laboratory Refurbished

The Food Technology building was refurbished into a centralized Food Technology Laboratory. The construction started last April 2011 with the use of Developmental and Laboratory fees allocated for the approved project. It is part of the Administration’s move to develop the infrastructure of the college and to maximize the use of equipment, cooking devices and utensils during Laboratory classes of the students taking Food Technology and Culinary Arts subjects especially under the bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) and the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Technology (BSHRT) Programs.

The Centralized Food Technology Laboratory was conceptualized as a result of the observation of the Food Technology Instructors and Professors during their visit to the food establishments when they conducted their Industrial Tour. It was inaugurated last July 29, 2011 during the Mass Induction Program and Acquaintance Party with a Ribbon Cutting by Dr. Ricardo B. Abaleña, Vice-President for Academic Affairs. It was followed by the blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Pedro Sisnorio Jr., Parochial Vicar of Miagao Parish Church.
