Student Leaders attend SLI

“Leaders are not born, they are made.”

Stressed Dr. Raul F. Muyong during the first half of the two-day Student Leadership Institute (S.L.I.) with the theme , “Opening Opportunities for Proactive Student Leaders,” September 23-30.

SIPC- Student Republic (SR) invited 80 officers of the different council, academic clubs and organizations to join the said training.

To train the students for effective leadership, SR invited four resource speakers namely: Dr. Raul F. Muyong, our Campus Administrator, Mr. Ely S. Ciasico, Head, Office of Student Affairs and Services, Mrs. Loriedee D. Bentula, Chair of the English Division and Atty. Kristine Marie N. Falalimpa to discuss the topics on: Leadership Techniques and Team Building, Resolution and Project Proposal Making, Organizational and Journalistic Communication and Conduct of Meeting and Parliamentary Procedures respectively.

Student leaders also undergone series of games, team building activities and workshops given by the speakers of the respective topics.

“This SLI is a great opportunity to develop leadership potentials among our students,” said Ms. Blessa Marie Libo-on, President of the Student Republic.

This yearly activity aims to hone proactive students towards effective leadership.
