Professor Monico G. Acas from Siquijor State College led the survey team for Area VIII – Physical Plant, escorted by Engr. Cherry Ivy Naldoza and Mr. Virgilio V. Dalipe, Jr. The team visited the Welding Shop, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Laboratory, Bachelor in Industrial Technology Office, Food Technology Laboratory, Cosmetology Laboratory, Automotive Laboratory, Dressmaking Shop, Faculty Room, Physical Education Laboratory, Science Laboratory and the Drafting Section.
Physical plant facilities refer to the necessary infrastructure used in support and maintenance of facilities. The operation of these facilities or the department of an organization which does so is called “Plant Operations” or facility management.
“SIPC is different from other colleges and that the campus has more than what the Accreditation required. The facilities are enough to accommodate the needs of the students and so I suggest and recommend improving the facilities by purchasing, upgrading and adding updated equipment needed by the students for them not to be out-dated and continue maintaining the facilities,” stressed Professor Acas.
