With the necessity of computer literacy in the 21st Century, the Information Technology Council came up with two projects that are useful for the community. The 1st one which is the Computer Literacy on Basic Adobe Photoshop Application spearheaded by Dr. Lilanie Cubita and Prof. Helmar C. Ea with the project proponents, Prof. Jayson Mendoza, Dr. Remia Entusiasmo, Dr. Ramil G. Lumauag, Prof. Mario A. Valderrama, Jr., Mr. Dyck Andre Robles, Prof. Lance Jay Montalban, Prof. Selmar Fufunan and Mrs. Cheeryl V. Garcia was intended for out- of- school youths in the first district of Iloilo. This training was conducted last October 18-20, 2017. The main aim of this is to teach the out-of-school youths on the use of basic Adobe Photoshop Application which will enable them to become equipped with the use of technology and later on be an aid to earn employability.
The latter which is the Computer Literacy Training on Multimedia Presentation Using Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation was also a 3-day training for Barangay Officials of the Municipality of Miagao. This was still spearheaded by Dr. Lilanie Cubita and Prof. Helmar Ea, with the project proponents Prof Jason Mendoza, Dr. Remia Entusiasmo, Dr. Ramil Lumauag, Prof Mario Valderrama, Mr. Arlene Baldelovar, Mr. Rex Flejoles, Mrs. Helen Perlas and Mr. Danilo Genova. The team leaders and project proponents believe that this training would be a big help to the Barangay Officials since they entail a number of functions in and out of the barangay hall. The training offered the said target clientele with skills and knowledge on the use of Powerpoint Presentation which can be used as a tool in presenting updates, reports and other information using text, audio, and video with animations and transitions during barangay meetings or sessions.
