ISAT U Miagao Campus hosted the Inauguration of Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center

The ISAT U Miagao Campus hosted the Inauguration of Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC) on November 6, 2019. The RYPIC Project is a Partnership between ISAT U, DOST Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI), Great Women Philippines, and Municipality of Miagao.

The Inauguration Program started with the Ribbon Cutting headed by DOST Secretary Fortunato T. De La Peña, CHED Commissioner Dr. J. Prospero de Vera, ISAT U President Dr. Raul F. Muyong, Usec. Rowena Guevara, PTRI Director Celia B. Elumba, Hon. Mayor Macario Napulan, Great Women Philippines President Jeannie Javelosa, and DOST Region VI Director Rowen Gelonga. The blessing of the facility followed after the ribbon cutting.

An Opening Program was held at the covered court which was attended by invited guests, National and Local Media, Faculty, Staff and Students of ISAT U Miagao Campus. A Fashion Show of the Ilonggo Models and Designers which showcases the different Hablon Designs highlighted the event. The RYPIC Project is aimed to be the center of Yarn Production in Western Visayas.
