Homeroom Guidance Seminar-Workshop and Psychological First Aid

The Guidance and Counseling Center is currently leading a Homeroom Guidance Seminar-Workshop and Psychological First Aid aimed at empowering faculty advisers with vital skills to better support students’ well-being.

This capacity-building initiative is designed to equip educators with practical strategies in providing homeroom guidance and delivering psychological first aid. The training emphasizes the crucial role of faculty advisers in fostering students’ mental health, emotional stability, and academic resilience, particularly during times of stress, crisis, or personal difficulties.

Renowned speaker Ms. Florabel S. Suarez, RPm, shared her expertise on the vital role of teachers as guidance counselors in creating a safe and supportive learning environment. She highlighted how teachers, as frontline support figures, can bridge the gap between students and professional counseling services, ensuring that learners receive the guidance and intervention they need.
