From April 28 to 30, students from the Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BINDTECH) programs at ISAT U Miagao Campus embarked on an enriching Industrial Tour in Cebu City, providing hands-on learning experiences in various sectors aligned with their fields of specialization.
The tour was a unique opportunity for students majoring in Food Technology, Cosmetology, and Fashion and Apparel Technology to connect classroom theories with real-world practices through site visits, demonstrations, and industry seminars.
BIT Food Technology students explored several well-established food and hospitality institutions, including:
1. Waterfront Cebu City Hotel – featuring a seminar on hotel and hospitality operations
2. International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management – exposing students to professional culinary training
3. La Vie Parisienne – a live wine and cocktail mixing demonstration
4. Magic Melt – a tour of baked goods production and food processing
5. Profoods International Corporation – focused on processed fruit products
6. Tita’y’s – a well-known delicacy brand offering insights into local food manufacturing
Meanwhile, students from Cosmetology and Fashion and Apparel Technology programs had the opportunity to witness real-life applications of their skills at:
1. King Hand Spa – showcasing modern spa services and wellness practices
2. Anthill Fabric Gallery – highlighting sustainable fashion and local weaving traditions
3. Liong Garments – a behind-the-scenes look into garment manufacturing
4. Yulianke Cosmetica – a cosmetics company offering insight into product development
5. Fashion Institute of Design and Arts – with a seminar held at Hotel Pier Cuatro Hall
